It would be a VERY nice Toyota if they had put the T on the grill. The interior of this car is nicer than any Toyota car sold today and definitely better than the A3 or 1er.

is the gold foil supply stable now?

The sales numbers quoted in that article were through July. Lexus sold another 2K CTs in August. So they have now sold 7,400 CTs in the U.S. this year.

Prius and CTh production was priority after tsunami, so they became available sooner.

How about a ES250H instead. FWD, very comfortable, much better looking, more room for battery. Its fine for a MSRP of $40K+

I have definetly been seeing more CTs on the road. Still not a common car but cool to see buyers taking to the new Lexus

Whats interesting is the new Camry hybrid gets a similar rating with 200hp from the new 2.5 liter engine so I'm really puzzled why this isn't getting the 50 MPG rating like the PRius.

The HS needs that new engine badly to help it and Lexus should use that engine in other vehicles.

Any dealer will say the forecasts for the CT vs HS should have been flip flopped. 12k a year for the HS, 24k a year for the CT.

The HS best selling months were initially with Cash for Clunkers. It has simply been a sales flop, no getting around that.

Might be in the way the CVT is programmed. Despite generally similiar drivetrains, the Prius is set up for maximum MPG; the CT for slightly (but not much) more throttle-response.

2012 Camry Hybrid also drops 2 mpg with 17" wheels, so it is collection of different things.
If they do CT250h, I dont think it would get significantly worse MPG than CT200h... maybe 1 mpg total.

hopefully they do it!

With that engine, it would be completely different story.... 66hp more! 50% more power.

Whats odd is Gazoo raced the HS powertrain, the 2.4 liter hybrid system...

Anywhoo, congrats to the CT! Much needed good news for Lexus.

Yes they should put the new Camry hybrid's drivetrain into the CT!

best thing is that there is plenty of room to grow as inventories for CTh (and RX, GX, LX) are well, well below of what they should be...

I've seen some around here in Ann Arbor. VERY good looking car IMO, and the styling and the car in general just feels right at home here in the city.
