I used to own MR-2, to buy those things yourself... serious money.
All show, no go = joke. Please read with context to the branding of the FT-86 a Scion. There was one RS TC that was nicely done with TRD suspension bits etc.

Nobody bought it because at first there were reliability issues and it added a neigh 40hp for about $2000.00

That's the point, Scion's RS series thus far = flash and no substance.

imho, it is better that way, as they appeal to the larger amount of potential buyers... and if you want lowering springs, thicker sways, coilovers, exhaust, or an turbo, you can get it with or without RS.

The RS series are limited models, why WOULD they need to appeal to a wider audience?!? -_-

Not every car needs to have 300 whp.

I'd say almost 90% of people who mod their cars are in the boat of "flash" and no "substance." Most people don't track their cars.

All the mods done to my car are aesthetic. I know what my car is and what it isn't. I thought about the supercharger or getting an aftermarket turbo kit but the platform needs a whole host of other upgrades before being able to put that power down. I've got some mods that make me happy and that's what counts.

The RS 5.0 (black with TRD upgrades) was mostly upgrades that could be added to any tC. They just packaged up the TRD parts into a RS, gave it some unique wheels and unique paint.

I’ve noticed there is a lot of hate for Scion on here too. =/

I’ve had 2 tCs previously and I loved them at the time—when I had my tC, as my first new car, I felt it had a LOT of features for the money. Of course, after moving up to a Lexus IS…I could never go back to a Scion.

BUT at that time, while in college/first year of working full time, and not making much money, the Scion was quite appealing to me. (And I would have loved to have this one when I was still in college like, 5 years ago haha)

I never said the TC was a bad car. If fact, I think it is a pretty awesome car for what it is. Could be better, but it gets the job done. I stated my point clearly, but the scion leg humpers and apologist gloss over what I'm saying because it is perceived as "hate". I guess the point is lost on some of you, so rather than talk to a wall, I'll allow you to continue to rave over how awesome scion is.
