Camry will have a tri-tone leather option.
Looks like the interior may have a major upgrade.
"Gone are reclining rear seats. Added are apps, tri-tone leather, additional shifting options, and 5 star safety rating finishing on top of it's class. There is a new blue, not blue ribbon but very nice. Red has changed a bit too. Other colors were added that accentuate it very nicely.
It's a very nice product and will be seen at the dealers starting in mid to late August and everywhere in September. "

So now the 2012 Camry will supposedly debut in August/September, without a major auto show debut? If the Camry is really debuting then, they SHOULD have shown off the new design at the New York auto show.
I don't understand the logic of debuting the new Camry with such little hype, other than possibly hiding the new design as long as possible from the competition.
As I mentioned earlier, I'll believe it when I see it. Insider word was wrong about the Camry debuting in New York, so now I am suspicious of any "insider" word regarding the new Camry until I see an official press release and official pictures from Toyota.

At the point, Toyota did not know when will they be able to produce enough Camry's.
It is one thing with models where you have 60-120 days of stock, and with brand new cars that you dont have any at all.
At the NY show, they were saying production will return to normal by November/December... 7 days ago, they said full production of most models in June 2011.

Anybody know if a new Venza is coming with it, or just the new Camry sedan?
The Venza, of course, borrows much from the Camry's platform.
I, for one, am anxious to see the new interior. That, far and away, IMO, was the old Camry's worst weakness.

The front of the new Camry look very similar to the last generation M35. I am just happy that they finally made a change to the design of this top seller

While the Venza shares the same platform as the Camry, it's on a different changeover cycle. Expect a facelift soon and a redesign not so soon. The Highlander just got it's facelift, so an all new one is 2-3 years away. The ES and Camry have always debuted at the same time so I'd expect the pair to continue this trend.
Speaking of the next ES, it's funny how CL is talking way more about the upcoming
Camry than it is of the upcoming ES. I wonder what the psychology of that is.
