Volkswagen and Suzuki make first partnered product:
Suzuki/VW tie-up yields first fruit?
MCN News Link

VW has surprised the Shanghai car show by revealing an electric scooter. And if this is the first fruit of the VW-Suzuki partnership (the German firm own a fifth of the GSX-R maker) we can’t wait for what’s coming next – specifically a few beers, a movie and bed.
Weighing 20kg without batteries and powered by a 350-watt motor, the E-Scooter will joylessly cover 40 miles at a top speed of 30mph. It runs off a removable nickel-metal-hydride battery that you can carry indoors to charge.
VW’s director of design for China (where the scooter is targeted) Simon Loasby said: “The E-Scooter isn’t covered in VW badges, but you know it’s a VW from the shape of the frame, the detailing of the head- and tail-light, and the premium quality of the product.”
Be still our beating heart.
