Thats your competition?
you're taking a very short term view.

I think people need to better understand whats behind trade between China and USA... A lot of companies in USA have their own factories in China and then send back the goods for sale in USA... All the profits still go to USA.
again, that may be the case right now, and the chinese govt has let 'foreign' car manufacturers start factories there, but that helps train a large number of chinese workers in state of the art car making, and it's only a matter of time before some go out on their own and start a distinctly chinese brand. if nothing else, chinese pride and sheer numbers will make it happen. it might be 10, 20, or more years before your argument falls apart, but i am completely confident that it's inevitable.

People are jumping to conclusions I feel. Will Chinese automakers become a big force worldwide? Maybe in 20-30 years. I definitely don't see this happening in the next 10 years.

Even then, the Chinese will have to compete with Indian automakers, *and* Korean automakers. It will be a race to the bottom between these countries with emerging or young auto industries.
