true.

I'm assuming the 2.0T (only) in the A5 has something to do with the upcoming MPG requirements...in any case, I think it DOES need more power...around 300hp to compete BUT I don't care if its 4, 5, 6 cylinder to get there.

I would want the V6 especially if the I4 had 100 more HP. Have you ever driven high power turbo 4's? They are horrible.

so for example, the 305hp Subaru STI 2.5 turbo'd Boxer motor would suck in the A5 (with Quattro)?

BS, I'd take it in a heartbeat!

slightly off topic but thought id comment.....

Its unbelievable how an 2008 S5 still is going for over $40K in most dealerships/ private party listings and ebay. (if you can even find one in an attractive color combo...and then one in automatic) Its 3+ years old now since the models inception and banks rated it as retaining about 60% of its value after 3 years.

....that would make it work about $36000 today...and youd be hard pressed to find it anywhere in the 30's. Very impressive resale on a gorgeous car.

I'd be all over the 2.0L turbo, especially with the ASF A5 weighing in at 2,888 lbs.
