I love the profile so far, looks better already in profile than the current model.
They also got rid of those goofy wheel arches, FINALLY. I can't stand to look at the current S-Class because of those wheel arches.
European mpg standards versus US standards, totally different. People always forget this .
I very highly doubt that the S-Class plug-in will get 78 mpg EPA mileage. A lot of this will depend on exactly how mpg ratings are calculated. The Chevy Volt doesn't even get an overall EPA rating that high. Volt's all-electric rating is 93 mpg, and it's overall rating is 60 mpg.
I disagree; I really dislike the current generation simply because of those ridiculous wheel arches. I can already tell the next-gen model will be better-looking.

S63 depreciates pretty bad too right? ... Maybe not as bad %wise, but they are more reasonably priced to begin with than the S65, very nearly as fast and probably handles a bit better , and has the newer 7-speed transmission ...

performance wise, i think handling is about the same, but the s65 is quite a bit faster though, especially at fwy speed.
i really wonder if they will further improve the v12 (600 and 65) performance with the new body style. i think they will continue to stay with s63 tt v8. also wonder if they will have update to the 550 setup in the new one
