That Miata type concept looks disappointing .
However, the IS-F CCS-R more than makes up for it . I hope that means we see the IS-F in more racing, or that some sort of production version of that is coming.

As disappointing as the Miata-type thing is, I'm just glad that Toyota is working on something fun and affordable at all. Surely the production version will look a lot better thought out...I hope?

With the FT-86 now rumored to become a mid-$20k car, I think a sub-FT-86 car is needed help fill that Miata/low-$20k niche (remember the FT-86 was targeting a sub-$20k price point at the beginning of the project?). With many rumors about the MR2 successor being an FR and no longer MR, I think this Miata-type car is the MR2 successor they're talking about, although I personally will never see an FR car as a true MR2 successor. More like a blasphemy in fact.
