^I don't get it. At the Lexus website when building your LS460L, it has 3 package options, with Package C costing $7,810. I don't see a Package D, so I figured that Package C is the Executive Package.

Why isn't that option included then in the website? Don't get it.

Edit: Yeah! Package C is the Executive Package, if you look at this:

Power lumbar massage and four-way lumbar adjustment for outboard rear seats
Rear power seats with a power-lumbar-massage feature help passengers relax in maximum comfort.

^That option shows the 4 Seater with the console in between them. So, it does cost $83k. It has to be.

go and price a ls600hl and look for the following options, which are the exact things you should see for exec package:

Four-person seating with rear fixed console
Right-rear power recliner with multifunction massager and leg rest [4] [5]
Rear-seat wood-trimmed table

you can't just believe the pictures. and it's typical lexus builds, they are all regional. i think they are just showing typical options. if you want a ls460l with exec package, then it's probably custom order

believe me, my 2007 ls460l with rear seats upgrades (no 4 seat configuration) was msrp 85k. 2007 ls460l with exec package msrp 95k. i don't see how the price can drop by 10k for 2011.

yeah you cant go to the build function to find the car because executive package is a special order thing isnt it? you have to go to the options page and actually add it up yourself

I find it funny how a few individuals are trying defend their reason for not saying S600.
The question wasn't why you choose this or that car. Simply put I choose the S600 b/c it’s the boss. Not once have the valet or a female ever ask me how reliable my Mercedes is.
Trust me most people that purchase S600 could care less.

I know some of you know what I’m talking about.
Every time I see any MB 600 I cringe when I see that V12 on the side. B/c I know that car is in another league.

+1 Agreed

For myself, I'd have no interest in a compact sedan without an AMG/M/F/RS badge.

Mid-size would be the new 5 series. I think the Benz is close but the driving dynamics favor the BMW.

Full size would be the S600. If you have to attempt to rationalize why it's special then you will never "get it".

Compact: 335i. Since we're not allowed to select high performance models, this will do. JB3 chip adds 80 HP to the wheels in pump gas mode, AMS intercooler adds another 10.
You can almost compare this to the M3 after these simple mods.

Midsize: 5 series, which I like slightly more than the Benz. Both will only be 1 gen old in 10 years, the GS will be 2 gen old.

Full Size: S600. What rogers2 said.

I feel the S550 is in another league.
Classiest car in the around $90K price range.
The S600 is even more fantastic.

excuse me but how could anyone not like S600. S600 is the only car for a man. I tell it like it is. I laugh when i see people in bmw lexus or audi cars because they think they are real people. It is funny when i drive by in my S600 and throw lit cigarettes at them. they deserve it. buy a mans car.

in Russia you would be considered a stupid little girl for not having S600s

Compact:
BMW 3 series, preferably an M3. Had a 328i, it was brilliant to drive: RWD, balanced chassis, and the ability to turn off trac + stability control = driver's car.

Midsize:
BMW 5 series. The others are nice, but the 5 catches my eye the most.

Fullsize:
This is a tough one. I prefer the LS430 over the 460 (just for exterior styling). I prefer the E65/66 750 over the current one (again, I like the prev. gen styling more). If I had to get a new one, it would be a no-brainer for the S-class. But..as many have pointed out, it makes more sense to wait a few yrs for these luxo sedans to depreciate and then strike.

Are you crazy? three year old audi's look dated. oh and you would probably want a 10 year warranty on the audi.

Reliability take the lexus, looks 3 series coupe.

Can a Mod please add a poll? I can't edit one in, but I'm sure a Mod would be able to.

Question: Which of these would you pick to keep for 5-10 years?

Poll Options:
Audi A4
Bmw 3 Series
Lexus IS
Mercedes C-Class
Audi A6
Bmw 5 Series
Lexus GS
Mercedes E-Class
Audi A8
Bmw 7 Series
Lexus LS
Mercedes S-Class

and if you can give each member the ability to vote 3 times, that will be great.
