I am currently a University of Washington student. I am doing a class project (Marketing Research) on car brand perceptions and need many responses as much as possible for this project. Since I have been a Club Lexus member since 2007, I feel like this community is very helpful. Many members helped me to answer many questions and I had helped and answered questions on this forum. Also I've become friends with many members on this forum.

Despite the recalls I bought 2 new toyotas and a new Lexus since Feb 2010. Family have owned 4 4Runners, Rav4, 3 Camrys, IS250, RX330, and RX350. NONE had ever given us any problems.

Is the survey strictly for your curiosity while fulfilling a class assignment? Just curious. It seems written in a way that Toyota themselves might ask.

Anyway, most of us know that the "problem" was mostly bogus and a result of driver incompetence. Unintended acceleration reports happens with all automakers but was amplified by Toyota's massive volume of cars. Sometimes people really think they are jamming on the brake when they are really mashing the gas pedal. Then they feel the need to point fingers.
