My son will probably take the Camry LE.
Never thought I'd buy a hybrid this soon but took the Camry Hybrid out for a test drive and actually liked it.The wife absolutely loved it.
Funny thing was when I went to start it,I kept pressing the start button and nothing was happening.I was told it's started. No start up noise.Just a 'ready' light on the gauge area.
We'll see if it gets the mileage stated. The wife is in some bumper to bumper traffic to and from work daily.
Great pick up and congrats! It will take some getting used to but I am sure yall will love it.

Ok,here a few quick shot pics.Hybrids take a bit of getting used to but I do like the car and technology.
Quiet start up is weird and there is a slight shudder when accelerating from a stop if applying gas is not feathered.

Thanks,will do.
I have to talk to Toyota service and see if there's a fog light available to fill in that black plastic cutout.I've seen pics of hybrids with fogs but haven't found any part info searching online.

Nice pics of the new Camry. Amongst the top competitors in this class, the Camry looks most European and has better proportions than most front-wheel drive cars (doesn't have the big ugly front overhang like many fwd cars that makes the fwd configuration so obvious).

nice choice!

let me know how you do on MPG....I have a friend that has one and gets around 35mpg.

I personally just dumped my Mini Cooper S and picked up a used 10 Prius with 11k miles for $18.8K and have consistently got no lower than 60mpg.

Thanks.
I like the front of the hybrid much more than the regular Camry

I'll bet you get a LOT more comfortable, quiet ride in the process, too.

If you want to spend the money, fine, but I had standard factory fog lights on both my Outback and Lexus IS300, and generally wasn't that impressed with either one. Depending on just how dense and thick the fog is, they can help light up the road (maybe) a small amount, right around the front of the car (you'll see it, from the driver's seat, much more on the driver's side). But the effect, in my experience, really isn't that much. And, of course, you probably already know this, but the standard rule, in heavy fog, is not to use the high-beam headlights...they can reflect back into your face. Use the low-beams instead.

Mike,I really only want the fog light mainly for the front look with the fogs off. Those black out plastic pieces bug me.A fog light assembly fills in that black area nicely.
I have fogs on the RX and changed the bulb to yellow Hoen bulbs.I'm not one to ride at night always with fog lights on like some do.
I actually only use them when in rain, snow or fog.

I called a couple of dealers and fogs for the hybrid are not available somehow through the parts dept.
I called Sparks Toyota in SC who with other SE dealers put a oem fog light kit (assemblies, relay, wiring, switch etc)together and I bought it for the LE for $163 delivered but they don't have a kit for the hybrid. The hybrid has different openings.
The hybrid does have fog lights as an sticker option and I asked what happens in an accident, how do the fog lights get replaced if not available?
I was told the fogs are available but every piece is separate and sold individually which would make it expensive to buy rather than in a kit.
Odd but that's what I was just told earlier today.

OK.....if it's just to get rid of the El Cheapo look, I understand.

Nice. I agree, fogs would definitely look better than the black pieces. Like that color combo too. You are braver than me. At least put some all weather floor mats in there. All the mud and wet leaves are gonna make a mess now that we're entering monsoon season

Anita,Weathertech all weather mats were installed just after the pics were taken.
I wish black leather interior was available, though.
I can't understand why black isn't offered in many Toyota models.
Is it the 'gets hot' thing?
