The front looks better without the LED strip in the lamps.
Couldn't BMW have designed the lamps to look aggressive with the LED strips? I know laws and legislation are forcing automakers to include LED lights in the front lamps, but that doesn't mean they have to look like low end Christmas tree lights or that the entire shape of the front lamps needs to be compromised in order to include the LED strip.

Thank you for that photoshop dunnojack. That's exactly what it needed. Now it looks aggressive, instead of stock bloated. The rear end and interior are nice.

Not a fan. The front is pretty ugly to me and it just looks uninspired and plain. Looks like a design committee designed it and just wanted it to look like the sedans but with 2 doors, there is no wow factor with this design. It almost looks like a Volvo design or what a 2 door Ford Taurus might look like. The side view on the page looks decent. Maybe it will look better in person.
The interior is interesting and pretty well done with the different colors and patterns, much better then the previous interior but that is not saying much as the last/current 6 series interior was the definition of plain, uninspired, and quality not high enough considering the price.
I was hoping for something much better looking and eye catching. Still not nearly as good looking as the Mercedes SL from 5 years ago.

I have to agree that these new BMW designs are quite possibly some of the worst designs BMW has had. Pre-Bangle BMWs are considered classic designs, and even though they were the "1 sausage 3 lengths" type of designs they still looked athletic, sporty, and aggressive.
I was somewhat a fan of the new 7 and 5, but the more I see them on the road the less appealing the styling to me is. The new BMW models IMHO do not look sporty, athletic or aggressive.

I'll wait until I see it in person, but for now, I don't like it at all. The front snout in particular comes across as incredibly bland and "unsporty" to me. A lack of dynamic elements is completely missing from the front - and dynamics have always been present in BMW design in my opinion.
The cabin is nice though. Typical BMW, yet with improved interior materials (judging from the photos) and a harmonious, pleasing flow.

It kinda reminds me of looking at a ES. Doesn't really do anything for the emotion. That's fine for an ES because half of the ES buyer would get cardiac arrest otherwise. BMW needs to go back to aggressive styling.

i wish they'd stop with the xmas lights fad.
The headlamp itself looks aggressive enough, but the led strip below it makes the surrounding body look bland.
I just noticed that this is pretty much the same front end as the gran coupe, But since the gran coupe concept was presented in black, I didn't notice the LED strip under the eyes.

I don't really care for any of BMW's designs lately. This design language sucks.

They had such a chance to get it right this time and now it looks like a blandmobile. Proportions look like an old Ford Taurus.
