Despite living in LA, I'd never thought I'd ever see a Veyron in the wild but low and behold...
I had a friend visit and decided to take her shopping, as we walked down Rodeo Dr. I knew exactly what my eyes and brain was telling me...BUGATTI! right in front of Bijan, the most expensive store in the world. For those who frequent Beverly Hills, you know there are tons of luxury and exotic cars, can't even recall how many Rolls Royce and Bentley's I saw today.
In the end, I was really glad to have gone there today!
The base price on these cars is some $1.5 million, but I understand that some people are paying a lot more than that, brand new. And we can only imagine what insurance runs on them.
I understand that Bijan Pahkzed, the designer is the one that parks his yellow Rolls Royce drop head coupe in that same spot all the time, as of now, I'm only assuming that the Veyron was his too.
It is rumored that you're only allowed in his store by appointment, the price range for his products are from $50 socks to $50,000 suits. He dresses some of the most powerful men in the world (including heads of state). I wonder if that parking spot is simply dedicated to him officially, or unofficially.
Looks like a part of the spacecraft. I bet the car looks better in person. It's a whole different feeling looking at the actual car vs. pics. Nice find and nice pics.
Actually it looks just as ugly in person, unfortunately. However, pictures do make the car look more bubbly and big than it really is though.
I saw one in a strip mall in the rain, self-parked between 2 SUVs. A Veyron as someone's beater. That's LA for you. ha ha.
Ferrari Enzo is now worth $1.5~ 1.6 mil. Though of course the Bugatti is a lot of car for the money. $1.5 mil is underpriced for the Veyron. The engineering and craftsmanship is phenomenal.
The Veyron base price of $1.4-1.5M is just that.....a meaningless figure on a window sticker. I doubt that any have actually been sold at that price. You can bet the monthly rent that there were some big mark-ups....especially with the type of clientele looking at Veyrons. I'd bet that Jay Leno, for example, owns one.
I passed one of these in Manhattan Beach a few months ago on my way to work. I was tempted to turn around and follow it, but was running late for work. I texted all my buddies into cars telling them I just saw a million dollar car haha.
