Post Autoblog Review: 2010 Acura ZDX is a space (challenged) oddity

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/29/2...ra-zdx-review/

The fundamental premise of a high riding and very heavy 2+2 strikes us as silly unless you are going to take the idea to its (il)logical zenith with some insane performance like the BMW X6 M. Barring that, we'd rather see Acura's product planners focus on the kind of smaller, lighter, white spaces that Soichiro Honda likely would have filled were he still kicking around the headquarters that bears his name.

Sounds like you two might need some stress management. Take two Prozacs, call me in the morning, and send the bill to Acura.

You know, I kind of dig the BMW X6 in a way and could rock that car, but this not this Acura.

honestly, I get that the SUV is getting relabeled and half-molded into "CUV" which is making no sense if manufacturers want anything to do with properly reduce emissions,

but the ZDX isn't more utilitarian, it doesn't have "more space" it's not good looking....

what makes Acura think that this is the next step in automotive trends???

I saw a murdered -out black X6 yesterday in front of car wheel/tire/mod shop, it did look pretty mean. ZitDX has no hope.

we're all forgetting that acura is calling it a "coupe", so the lack of space is proper for the it's category.......oh my head hurts now

I don't know, I think it looks okay. Probably the only one here that thinks that though.

Not everyone hates it. Working for an Acura dealer, I've talked to dozens of people who like or love it. Yesterday, a customer traded in an '07 Audi A8 for one.

Not saying I love it (although I do like it). My biggest problem with it is the lack of practicality compared to the MDX, not styling. I still rather have seen the return of a CL coupe.

The Ryugyong Hotel; Pyongyang, North Korea has 23 people that like it..

This Peter the Terrible statue has people that visit it and its ugly as hell

That said it has a sales goal of 6k this year, 8k never year and I think 10 or 12k the year after.

This year it is on pace to sell maybe 4k cars far below any sales goal. So yeah some people like it, people like a lot of ugly things.

It's subjective. Some people think Aston Martin's are ugly too.
