I know. probably you can haggle the price and get another 3-4k discount. but no way 2 year old genesis v6 will go for 15k. Even Kia Amanti didn't go that low.
again, you always get 3-4k off when you are dealing hyundai. so buying a genesis base v6 for 29k is nothing new. target price for genesis v8 is 4-5k off msrp. 3-4k for v6. people are already getting 2-3k off from Sonata.

i'll be very surprised to see 2 year old genesis v6 going for $15,000. this isn't Kia Amanti.

most of used genesis v6 are priced well over 29k in autotrader.

all hyundais hold their value pretty well as of late. definitely above average, finally. Sonata has the best 4 year residual, better than accord at 41%. last gen sonata had the 4th worst 4 year residual among midsize sedan!
when you make better product, the resale value goes up. just look at Ford now and Ford 5 years ago.

I have a friend who worked at a Ford dealership selling used vehicles.
He told me used cars are markup an average of about 30%.
Also said if a vehicle is sold at 10-15% off the asking price, the customer is happy and the dealership of course would like more of a profit but is happy.
Sometimes if a vehicle has been sitting and ready to be wholesaled, they will let it go for close to wholesaler's cost.Still making some money from the sale and doc fees.

I bought my GS with a COSTCO card. All I did was show them the card so they could photo copy it and I got the car from $50,000 down to $44,500 with out haggling or going back and fourth with "the manager". That COSTCO card made my Lexus shopping experience much easier at the end of my shopping. I would go back and fourth with the sales team when some sales guy asked if I had a COSTCO card . I said yes,I gave it to him to photocopy, and we started the paperwork. Good stuff

Costco might be a done deal if I could get treated better than by people at my local Hyundai dealership... it's terrible over here. The problem with Hyundai dealers in the states is their standard on customer service is low... It's much worse than my local Mazda dealership.

I visited the Hyundai dealership once (the ATT store is bigger than this place by the way) just to look around. They don't give Loaner vehicle out, and if some dealerships did, it might be the lowest model available (Accent). Their waiting room looked so dirty and not comfortable at all.
So I think I'll buy a used $40K Lexus over a Brand New Hyundai, because if in the event I need to take it in for servicing, I would never drive a crappy Hyundai Accent loaner.
