The "Ultimate" car for me probably doesn't exist...or ever will. It would combine traditional Japanese reliability, Subaru AWD layout/traction, BMW steering feel/handling, a traditional Buick ride, a butter-smooth LS460 drivetrain and tomb-quiet sound isolation, a Rolls-Royce/Bentley interior, and a Toyota/Lexus or Audi paint job in a nice rich/classy color (Amythist Purple is probably my favorite).

And, yes, my old girlfriend from the 70's in the right front seat next to me.......we'd both be 30-35 years younger.

 

Given my conservative criteria, a LS460L.

If I had to chose one complete production car, instead of an amalgramation of parts, I'd agree with you....an LS460 AWD.
