I didn't get to review an SHO (at the time, they were special-order only), but here is my detailed review of the SEL model:

It will be interesting to see how the Taurus and LaCrosse sell vs. each other. Two new fairly large U.S. sedans each with a lot of promise.

^^^
I looked at both and felt the LaCrosse was a smaller car. The trunk is rather small and the interior tighter. Buick does not offer the 3.6 engine with AWD, only the base 3.0.

When we were shopping for our current car, we looked at the LaCrosse 3.6 FWD, but in the end decided against it.

Of the two, I preferred the smaller dimensions and styling of the Buick but both of them offer a lot. I like the eco-boost but would stay away from it for the first year or two.

My guess is that they'll both do well in the long run.

I even like the Limited model. There was one riding my *** today and after I dusted it it pulled up to the light and it just looks good to me.

Ford is my next favorite car company next to Lexus. I rooting for Ford to over take GM and would love for Lincoln to catch up and compete with at least Cadillac. Ford is showing some promise now finally.

The Taurus and Lincoln MK? are built in the Chicago Heights plant, and for the past two years Ford has had one of the largest display areas at the Chicago Auto Show. A lot of consumer info (Eco-Boost, manufacturing, safety etc.). It might be their traveling show. On the day I was there it was drawing a lot of interest.

It's probably better for Ford and GM to remain as competitors....not unite. Both companies are doing some nice stuff now. Taking away that competition would only lessen the incentive of both corporations to do better vehicles.

I was saying i wanted Ford to out-sale GM. I want them to over take them in sale not take over and yes the competition between them must remain intact. Its a long running rivalry that needs a boost.

I am surprised that I have not seen the younger guys start dropping them on some big wheels. I thought it would be a Chrysler 300 kind of thing but I guess not

I saw this car in person the other day and it is HUGE! I knew it was a move up from the mid-size Taurus (Ford Fusion), but I didn't expect it to be so big. It's long and very, very tall.

I believe it was the SHO version.
