That grill is gross. It does not flow with the overall design of the vehicle. It completely overpowers the graceful flares and curves. The SLS grill does not work on lesser cars. Mercedes did the same stupid thing with the SLR by throwing it on the SLK and it didnt work there either.

Mercedes design is looking so Asian lately.

Depends on who created it...

...Mercedes-Benz has in recent years hired a top Korean designer for their Carlsbad design studio, and also now employs the designer of the latest BMW 7 series for their Stuttgart design center.

Mercedes with it's latest designs have been going in a clear "German" direction. The C Class, E Class, the GL and GLK, and the SLS all look distinctly German.

I sure hope this F800 is nothing more than a pure concept, and that very little of these cues are integrated into future Benz models.

The new Benz models are selling very well, and love them or hate them they look distinct. I would be very disappointed if Benz went away from this suddenly and back to more Asian-looking designs.

This car looks like it share too many lines with Hyundai. This could easily pass as part of the new Fluidic Sculpture design language from them.

That being said, it looks decent.

I believe this is the first product of Mercedes' new designer. I forget his name now but he's the same guy who designed the BMW 7er and CS concept (which, you gotta admit, has a lot of the same surfacing as this car). Regardless, I think it's safe to say this is the direction Mercedes will be heading after the current, square and Germanic generation of vehicles.

Okay, I think I figured it out. This concept looks like a Hyundai to me and I believe it has something to do with Joel Piaskowski, former chief designer for Hyundai. He's now at MB Advance Design in North America.

Those swooping character lines are from Hyundai. Hm.......

it's just a concept! it looks like a fat CLS. by the looks of this thing, the next CLS should be awesome if they copy some of it's design elements!!!
