Joe80, seriously, you need to learn the difference between passenger volume and (overall) interior volume.

The figures I posted that you're quoting in post #60 (with the exception of the Veracruz) are all passenger volume. You're just making yourself look silly at this point, but I will say nothing further on this matter.

EDIT: Veracruz passenger volume is 137.2 cu. ft.. Total interior volume is 150.6 cu. ft., I apologize for this mistake. All other numbers are correct. This also means Veracruz has less passenger space than Highlander or Pilot.

no friggin way highlander has almost 50% more passenger(5 seat) volume than sorento. it's not possible. then what is highlander's total interior volume? 200cu.ft? lol highlander is big, it's not that big. 145.7cu ft is for 7seater.

sorento's 5 passenger interior volume is 105.5, highlander's passenger volume is 113.

i'll tell you for the last time. highlander is bigger car. that's a fact. it's more expensive too. 5 grand to be exact. but that doesn't mean sorento is too small or too cheap to compete against highlander. you will know this if you ever went to kia dealer lately. most stickers i've seen on sorento was 24k-34k. it definitely is bigger than my santa fe just taking a peek at it.

and even Kia said in their press conference that highlander is a target for sorento V6. i would rather believe what they say then your baseless assumption.

as far as passenger volume goes, it's very very comparable. sorento even has slight edge in 3rd row.


but again, highlander has much more cargo because it's 5 inches longer. 183 vs. 188. and appears to be more boxier.

 

i think we get it. highlander's a bit bigger than sorrento. do they compete? kind of subjective in the end.

anyway, new Santa Fe will be made in West Point, Georgia where sorento is made.

Fleet or no Fleet, that is impressive number for a Kia.

 

There's a reason for that. Their quality is now comparable, and actually beats Toyota in some ways. Yet, there is still a small price difference.....but not as much as in the past.

 

The only thing you proved Joe was I should have kept it locked. It continued to be argumentative and another moderator deleted 2 posts.

You get a Lot of Hyundai/Kia leverage and open mindness here let me remind you of that. Not everyone is going to like/agree. Other luxury forums would laugh.
