Lexus now recommends checking drivers floormat at service intervals

Not sure what to think of this one. Lexus now lists "check installation of driver's floormat" in the GX service manual.

Surely Lexus is not going to charge for this are they?

This is about time, ALL MANUFACTURERS SHOULD DO THAT!!!

Also it would be nice if car wash personnel would check floor mats when they remove them to vacuum them. They never hook them back onto the clips that Lexus provides in the floor that provides them from moving around.

There is nothing to think about. Its simply added to some of the service intervals. Personally, I check my mats when I wash my vehicle, its never been an issue.

It's certainly a common sense thing to do. And no I don't expect an increase in service cost as a result.
