For those of you not going to the big Detroit show, Here's the advance info on the D.C. Auto Show, starting Jan. 27. Ford's CEO is going to be there to open the show. That's unusual.....usually, in America, corporate CEOs are at the Detroit and L.A. shows, but not here. That reflects the increasing importance of this event.

For those of you in the local area here, you may not have to pay for tickets. Just do what I do, and get free show passes at any local car dealership......if available, they will usually spare at least a couple of them, because they want you to attend and look at their products.

I enjoy them as well. I love car shows. I always manage to have to work .
