Does it have to be new? If not I would suggest:

- A6 wagon
- 5series wagon
- 3series wagon
- E wagon

Thanks Fay, but I think the 5 series and the likes are a bit out of the price range here, which I haven't set, but I think the STI @ 36k is pretty expensive, so I'll set that as the cap. This car is probably going to take a beating so I don't really want something too nice such as an E wagon or something, although those cars have a LOT of space. It doesn't have to be a new car. No one is saying just get a rapist van for hauling ?

I'd be happy with a 1st-gen Xb. Yes Sir.

If you want to stay within the lexus family, a used IS300 sportcross might be a car to consider? I'm not sure what prices on those go nowadays and if that's out of your range or not. That would probably be a nice mix between your initial desire for an SC, and having the versatility of a hatch.

I wouldnt suggest anything make in germany unless you want high repair bills, the sportcross would be perfect but sometimes hard to find. If you can do new, the new toyota Venza is a badass looking rig.

Looks really tiny but worth a look if it can haul my stuff! But it's a Ford and it's low 20k... dunno, seems a bit pricey for something like THAT, I should just get a rapist van, won't be as easy on the eyes but it'll be money saved in the wallet... or checkbook.

I wanted a souped out xB, I'm not liking the 1st gen xB, I like the 2nd one better, but the fuel economy between the two since the xB uses a bigger engine is kinda big.
