DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A car plowed through a wall in a Sears store at Northlake Mall early Monday morning.

Dekalb County Fire Spokesperson Capt. Eric Jackson says the accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. Monday.

The driver was operating a blue Infiniti when it went out of control and crashed through a storage building of the Sears at Northlake Mall. Firefighters had to use the Jaws Of Life to free the driver who was later transported to an area hospital.

The accident is under investigation at this time but according to Dekalb County Police, they are looking to see if the driver may have suffered a medical condition that was a contributor to the crash.

There were no other injuries.

Man he did some serious damage, he had to be going at some speed to cause that much carnage.

Must have crashed into their soft goods dept. Glad he made it ok as there are no reports as to what really occurred. Medical, speeding, etc.

This might actually be good news for Infiniti. The incredible safety qualities of an Infiniti product have just been demonstrated in this extreme crash test. I predict sales of the G37 (and other Infiniti prodcuts) will skyrocket within the next few months!

I wonder if they will check the floor mats as a possible cause?
