I can hear the engine growl of the next M5 from where I sit. Expect segment buster numbers from this car.. These puppies better run for cover
Possibly...there still isn't firm confirmation of the details yet...or even when it's coming out. Some rumors suggest that while the F10 should be here sometime in early to mid 2010, the M5 might not appear until well into 2011.
I'd pick the E63 over the V or Jag any day of the week.
What about the IS-F? You seem to be one of those who don't have any problem with its ultra-stiff ride.
It's only ultra-stiff if you're coming from an ES350 or a Lincoln Town Car. It's fine, and much softer than the 2008 Evolution I used to have. It's just a little stiffer than a Mazda 3.
I will certainly be looking at the E63 and upcoming M5 as it's replacement though.
I reviewed a last-generation E63 a couple of years ago.....at 94K, probably the most expensive new car I've driven in some time. It was a true power monster (507 HP and 469 ft-lbs. of torque) and had almost BMW-like feel/response to its steering, but the controls and layout were quite complex and difficult to get used to.
I cannot overemphasize the power that the E63 delivers....it is like a rocket. With the VSC/traction control turned off, you could probably do a rear-wheel burnout for almost a quarter-mile (though I wasn't dumb enough to try it).

The new ones up here are worth $127K fully loaded. I was at the dealer today and they have one in Obsidian with the full carbon fiber trim inside and out. It is a stunningly beautiful car with the power to certainly match. The only way I could get into one is if I let the F go, and I think I'll be far too upside down to make it happen. They'll let me know in the morning.
With all three of these cars offering too much performance to begin with, I'd easily pick the XFR based on the mere fact that its stunningly sexy and rare. Merc would be my 2nd choice, and as far as the Caddy goes, I'd rather have anthrax.
