We give them billions of dollars...they blow it...they ask for billions more...we give it to them.

It's not being idiots......they are just filling in their part of an under the table deal. Those union workers helped get Obama into power, so now he's gotta pay them back, plain and simple. No stupidity involved, only extortion of the American people, and abuse of powers.

I don't think it had anything to do with servicing the union workers. It had everything to do with keeping the economy afloat when it was teetering on the edge of abyss last fall.

The fall of GM would not have killed America......How much was GM worth when it was about to collapse? How much money has been poured into it? Yeah.........As I stated, inventory would be liquidated, warehouses would be sold, those employees who worked there could perhaps work at the same places if other companies purchased them and converted them for their automobiles. Plenty of other options besides throwing money at them....Plenty.

GM is half the size it was now so allowing GM to die now wouldn't affect the economy at all. GM now is such a big burden to the U.S. taxpayers...

did the economy blow up when several airlines filed chapter 11? Many have chapter 11ed and came back making a profit. Strong companies always buy up the weak companies, that happens in every bankruptcy.
