I would love a hybrid Venza.......c'mon Toyota...build it..........
A Lexus version, hybrid or not, would also be nice. I don't think that it would steal very many sales from the RX, seeing that the RX is a different, taller, more SUV-like vehicle, where the Venza more closely approximates the Subaru Outback/Volvo XC70/Audi All-Road, conventional AWD raised wagons.
No third-row seat, can't tow or haul as much as other crossovers, dull driving experience
Not sure that I really agree here.
1) If you need a third row seat then please buy something else since MOST CUVs have them. Toyota, in fact, has three midsize-ish offerings with a 3rd row, not to mention Honda, Ford, and all the rest.
2) Uhhh....for the average buyer I think the tow rating is probably fine.
3) Edmunds is the first I have seen to note a dull driving experience. Every other review has been very positive about the Venza's road manners.
I might get one and I don't need a family car, it's plenty attractive.
From the outside.
This is certainly one of the best, if not the best Toyota products.
However, the interior quality and finish is nowhere near Lexus standards. I too was quite impressed with what it looked like from the outsided. The fascination ended once I actually sat in one.
If Lexus was to build this with an upscale interior it would be a hit. But they would never do it, as it would eat into once of their best selling vehicles sales.
I see one in the Sunset Bronze Mica color almost everyday and ALWAYS do a doubletake. I can't speak on the interior but I like the exterior looks for sure.
