Doesn't look too much different from the current one, that is good.

Jags, volvos, INfinitis, Caddys....amazing really.
yeah, but i would prefer NA 63 engines rather than supercharged 55. too many problems after warranty

recession is one thing (in jacking down prices of luxury cars), but even without recession, amg and m car prices have always dropped pretty fast anyway. especially amg

The side profile of the F10 5 is reminiscent to the E46 3 series sedan & E39 5

The M5 has always been the standard bearer when it comes to the ultimate performance luxury sedan.. Each generation of M5 has boasted at least 100hp increase over the previous.. 200+hp, 300+hp, 400+hp, 500+hp
& now 600+hp?? The Caddy & the others will be a dot in the mirror..

I was always surprised at how much and how fast AMG cars, and MBZ in general, depreciate. It's amazing to see the original prices on these cars and what the resell for a few years down the road.

I agree about the 63 NA engines being the way to go over the 55 supercharged engines - I've read a bit on that topic too.

power increase is one thing (and a good thing), but i hope they can watch out for the weight too. their cars (all cars in general) are getting heavier and heavier and weight is always a big enemy of performance.

imagine if bmw can take out 500lb from the m5 and just stay with 500hp. don't even need to look at 600

haha yeah, sl55/63 is a good example. start out like 120-130k, and in a few years they are in the 40-50s. amazing. that's why lease is a good option, you can almost just lease it, return it after 3 yrs, let the dealership take the hit, and almost buy back the same car at a discount!

Actually, with the lease, it is the leasee who is taking the hit buy paying for the depreciation..

no you missed my point. of course the first leasee takes the biggest hit for the first 3 years. but instead of buying out the car after the lease, give it back to dealer and let them take the extra hit (to adjust the car back to market value) and then buy it at a lower price

I had a fully loaded 2006 M5 in 2007 with only 9k miles. I was barely able to sell it for a penny over $50,000...
Less than a year old, Less than 10k miles... 50% off sticker

The M5 continues to get heavier, more complicated, with more power and the current one image debuted with NO manual. Only when (ironically) the US customer bished, did BMW listen. Whereas the E39 didn't come CLOSE to losing a comparo and CLEARLY was the drivers car, the new one has lost many comparos and other cars offer just as much if not more involvement.

The car clearly is fantastic, superb, incredible. However I much prefer the simplistic "only 400hp" E39 with a proper manual. To me that is the "ace" in the sleeve, the manual.

Otherwise, AMG/Lexus with their autos are just fine.

On the other hand, the thought of a "V-10" kinda makes me jizz

hhhmmm What would a TT V-10 make you do? No homo and PLEASE dont actually answer...

I agree too that the 5.0L V8 M5 with a manual was truly a piece of work, other than the V10, the E60 does not do as much for me.

Drove the current M5, and M6 but wasn't really impressed by them to be honest. I'd rather have a LS460.

But this F10 M5 should be interesting.

Which car? M5?

I have never driven the CGT and I don't think I will be fortunate enough to drive one in near future. So, I don't really care.

I will say the voice recognition in this thing will be really good (light years ahead of the rest of the auto makers) (now they just need to dump Siemens) for the nav screen ect.

Oh boy got to love BMW fans and their imaginations.

Giving the Carrera GT a run? Twin turbo V10? What else? Will the F10 M5 be faster than an Enzo too ?

Very reliable sources all say the M5 will have a TT V8, that there will be no more V10. There are rumors Audi will stop using it's TT V10 and move to a TT V8 instead.

I expect the new M5 to be on par or slightly faster than the Panamera Turbo.
