That depends on who you are dealing with. It may be a lot easier said than done.

Is it really that hard to comprehend that texting will disperse your attention elsewhere other than the road, which leads to an accident? Where is the common sense in people these days?

Another recent study has shown that the letter B does indeed follow the letter A in the alphabet.

Talk about a waste of resources.

In short:
If drunk driving is already dangerous, then texting + driving is more lethal......

Texting and driving is so dangerous. I see people doing it every single day when I drive to work.

If getting into a wreck and hurting/killing someone isnt a big enough deterrent then what is a fine going to do. The fines and penalties need to be huge if you want an effect. Article didnt say what penalties were

i just don't picture that kind of guy being a texter. His big thumb can't even hit the keys correctly.

i think the government should sponsor a bumper sticker campaign.

the sticker should be easily removable without damaging paint, and it should be large enough to span the whole rear bumper, and it should say something like
"STOP TEXTING. TEXTING KILLS"

eventually, people will see enough of these stickers that the idea will be ingrained in their head, and they might be reminded before they pick up that phone again.

i wouldn't mind putting this sticker on my bumper or my back glass
