well not many people can afford the 100+ LS600, and the GS hybrid would be a bigger seller if the GS itself if the GS body shell was a little improved (as seen by the slow sales of the regular GS too)
The only hybrid left is the RX which sold over a thousand units last month. Im sure the HS will sell well

I told you this car would do well here! Sales are not likely to fall off any time soon, infact they have been recieving even more orders than the first few months here at my dealership.

What are you talking about? The RX hybrid consists like 20%+ of the whole RX sales here in US. Over at Europe I think it's almost half of the overall RX sales.
I wouldn't call that "tanked" or "consistently low".
The GS and LS performance hybrids were never meant to be a volume sellers anyways, from the start those two were going to the the niche models.

Yeah not only that Lexus hybrids are not volume cars but limited production vehicles. For examples LS 600h are built to order and Lexus only expected 5% of sales to be that model.
On the other hand the RX hybrid OUTSELLS vehicles like the FX, EX, RDX, Q5, and tons of others. JUST the hybrid.
The GS had a sales goal of 2k here and 5k worldwide in 2007.

Not in this case.........I don't think so. Though I'll reserve final judgement on it for a review, from what I know of it, I think the HS is going to sell just as well here, especially with those buyers who (like me) simply find the Prius, Civic Hybrid, and Insight too dorky. They will be willing to pay more to get a much nicer car inside.
What is outrageous is the Lexus foot-dragging on getting the car introduced here in the American market. We have been waiting here for months.....and STILL no sign of any public release here in the U.S. This car is very high on my review list.

I am happy that the vehicle is taking off. Although it will take me some time to get used to the looks of the car, it is now a nicer upgrade for all of the Green people who have had to deal with the more basic layout of the prius.
I bet hanz and franz over at BMW and Mercedes are freaking out and are green with envy. To bad 10K customers are now green with lexus.
I still dont think I will ever own a car long eough to recoop the costs, but for some less visits to the gas station is enough benefit

I agree. The HS would have easily been their best candidate for the CFC program. The other Lexus Hybrids (no offense here, because I know you own a GS Hybrid ), though, of course, more economical than their conventional counterparts, don't get anywhere near the mileage the HS gets; and that is one of the keys to the CFC program......a 4 to 10 MPG difference.
