Well there are three bloody blokes somewhere in UK, they are called Clarkson, May and Hammond, and they are the only Yuropeans I happen to like. They reviewed the 1 series, and this was their verdict. I can upload the entire review if you'd like.

I think the E class coupe is a little funky looking in the rear qtr area. The sedan is handsome, but I like the interior on the old E class more

So you like the Top Gear crew because they slammed the 1 series? And if they criticized a Toyota or Lexus product you would be the first to call them names, eh?

I suggest you seriously drive the car yourself to form your own opinion and stop listening to Top Gear. Top Gear is an entertainment show, pure and simple. I don't listen to anything they say about any car.


To me the 1 series was everything BMW stands for: no-nonsense purity and sport with a hue of luxury.

I've looked at both in person, IMO the HS is uglier. And the winner is.....

The funny thing is his FINDINGS are pretty much on par with what C&D just found here in the midsize comparo (though C&D is a horrible read).

C&D gave the Benz the best interior/exterior styling

 

I guess styling is subjective, but, IMO, to say that the Benz has a better interior and exterior than the Jag XF is really pushing it.

 

I agree, that ranking is way to subjective to be of any use.
