Ideal weight distribution is more 45/55 than 50/50. I guess we'll see who makes the better trade off between ideally balance and perfectly balanced.

Easily the best looking Ferrari since the 355. There are still a few design features that leave me scratching my head though.
The so called center console looks like a joke, but I actually like its simplicity. Definitely did a double take on that.

R8 is not bold and daring enough neither stylistically or technologically for Audi badge!
I've been flamed million times for saying this but I cant understand all that lusting by press over R8.
BTW 458 is most recent Ferrari since F50 to make me feel good by just looking at it! Great overall design and yes its details are Lexus LFA influenced no doubt

+1 on these points. IMO the R8 comes off as the sports car for your wife. I like the look, but its much to soft in the design department.

...and Ferrari finally applies its supercar look to the mid-engined V8 range. I'm not sure why we are comparing with the Audi R8 because that's in a different league, not as track-ready as the Ferrari. Observations:
The wheel arch openings make the car look artificially lowered. Maybe it is, just for posing...?
Subtle rear wing and front air intakes by the headlamps look clever. So does the air intake next to the California-style side windows. What happened to the clever front wing of the F430?
And what happened to the super-traditional lower-body air intake on the doors of all mid-engine Ferraris?!
DI engine is impressive, although they keep going up in displacement.
And what's up with looking like the Artega GT?
While owning one of these cars is highly impractical for most, I hope to be able to drive one sometime. Overall, a much better-looking replacement than the F430 was to the 360 Modena, and a fitting icon for Ferrari's lineup. Well done.
