The Megaman game for NES came out 87' before Lexus was started in 89'. They clearly stole the emblem design here folks...if the pic hasn't been modified.

That's the new Megaman 9 on Wii/PS3, released on 2008. and this is the only stage that looks like a Lexus emblem. the rest have different colors on the "L" and the frame. for example: Red frame, golden L. :P
