You say you only dealt with GM. But did you actually BUY a new Shelby, on a signed Bill of Sale, for 47K, plus tax/tags? If so, congragulations. 
I don't think one can be bought in this area for that price. I assume that you know the proper break-in rules for the first 1000 miles (some Camaro SS owners, as another thread indicated, are ragging their new cars out, abusing them, and screwing up the transmissions). Shelby, as I understand it, doesn't give a factory warranty at all with the top-line Super Snake version, but does on the regular GT500.
