Lexus group vice president and general manager Dennis Clements told Reuters, the IS300, currently priced from about $US30,000, is key to bringing new buyers to Lexus, but sales have been disappointing.
The IS300 after hitting a high of 22,486 units in 2001, sales dropped below the 10,000-unit mark in 2004. Compare to the 2nd gen IS, which is selling at about 40000 unit a year last year.
