Right, so why not regulate the products used, as opposed to banning the action outright? This was discussed in that thread too.

As for what bit said, that's true too, lunacy isn't limited to one side, both sides have their crazies.

Reagan tax cuts have bankrupted California, no doubt. It should be a warning to the rest of America on what will happen if they blindly follow this irresponsible right wing ideology. But I know they won't learn. Because that satire is right, many people think that way

LOL

Wow. You really believe that? I want some of what you're smoking. It's got to be really good.

BTW, I lived in CA for 24 years. I've never paid higher taxes anywhere.

That's an argument to make, but is it really that hard to simply wash your car on a lawn or above gravel so the water gets filtered? You think it's easier to change the make-up of the products?

And I really don't see what is so "extremist" about wanting clean water and clean seafood. I'd argue you're an extremist if you make me and my family put up with crap water and seafood that has chemicals in it simply because you're a bum who is too lazy to wash his/her car above ground that filters the water. I know there are crazy people on both sides, but this is not a good example. And honestly, one side is faaaar crazier than the other. Not even close.

Reagan didn't pass a law that made tax increases basically impossible in CA, needing a 2/3 majority vote? He also cut property tax- the one steady gov. income during any economy, even a recession.

This obsession with taxes is bonafide stupid anyway. Tax cuts are supposed to mean more money in your pocket. Do you have more money after 8 years of Bush tax cuts? Doubt it. In Denmark they pay 50% in taxes, but I freakin guarantee you the average Dane after recieving the average salary, paying taxes and health care/education costs has easily $10,000-15,000 more in his pocket than the average American after the U.S. average salary, taxes and health care/education costs.

It's like a used car saleman telling you he'll throw in a free stereo when you're paying for the stereo already 5 times over.

Ah ah, my friend, don't put words in my mouth, I said both sides have their extremists. Nowhere did I say that having clean water is extremist. mmarshall pointed out well the problems with washing the car on the lawn, but i digress, I think making a law that makes environmentally friendly soaps would be better than completely banning their use.

And yes I do agree, one side is far crazier .

Yep. Definitely NEED some of what you're smoking. Been to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland. A very few have money. Everybody else lives at nearly the same level, and no, they surely DON'T have more disposable money than the average productive American. Besides, socialized medicine nearly killed both my brother and me when we lived in Ireland. I wouldn't give you a nickel for the European healthcare system. But hey, that's just me, I've only lived there.
