he 2012 Mercedes SLK has been unveiled a little early thanks to this, possibly leaked, promotional video.
While our French is a little rusty, the creepy clip shows the car in its full SLS AMG-inspired glory. Notable design highlights include front quarter vents, adaptive headlights (with LED daytime running lights), an integrated trunk-lid spoiler and LED taillights. An optional sports package adds a revised front fascia (with LED fog lights), AMG wheels, and cross-drilled brakes.
Inside, the cabin also echoes the SLS with a prominent center console and round air vents. Other highlights include a dash mounted clock (possibly power developable - as odd as that sounds), sun-reflecting leather seats, and an innovative draft guard system which is integrated into the roll bars. On the options list, we can expect Airscarf, a Harman Kardon audio system, COMAND Online (with internet access) and an electrochromic glass roof dubbed Magic Sky Control.
Under the hood, we can expect "new powerful" engines that deliver "high driving pleasure combined leading efficiency." Details are limited, but all the engines will feature a standard start/stop system and an available 7-Gtronic PLUS transmission.
Considering the sheer volume of leaks and teasers, look for a possible introduction at January's North American International Auto Show.
Thanks for tip the Martynas!

Thanks, Mike!
This is a very upscale looking design for this class, IMO. I love it. Looks like an SL with a CLS front end, and I am certainly not complaining.
The SLK has never been a car I cared much for but with the current Z4 floundering and the TT not really setting any sales records, this car has a great chance at success

Wow - stunning.
It also looks very muscular and aggressive. Its rivals, namely the Z4, 370Z, TT and even the Boxster/Cayman all look "tame" in comparison to this car. However, this is an AMG model. I want to see the standard version as well and how it compares from a styling point of view.

Wow, that is a BIG improvement. Looks MUCH better than before .
I never cared for the current SLK at all, but this on the revised looks alone appeals to me much more. It looks like a mini-SL, which IMO is what the SLK should always look like.
