Do I need to know a dealer? Trying to see what kind of deals the dealers get.

most body shops are dealers. best to go through one of them. they can give you a better estimate on damage on cars. remember theyre is no financing to be had on those cars. its youre money that you are paying with.

 

To go in officially, you'll need to be a certified/licensed dealer.

My friend got me in once with a copy of his but their security was pretty tight, I managed to slip through the second time around.

 

To my knowledge Manheim only allows dealers entry into the auctions. They no longer allow guests.

You're not missing much. Most of the vehicles sold at auction are between kbb trade in and private party. From what I've seen, they are closer to private party.
