How many miles on the new ride?
Racing a brand new car without break-in? I wouldn't do it.
Unless your buddy was racing you with half throttle.

Nice fast car, not very attractive in that dull silver paint.

645 lb-ft torque @ 5,200 rpm

I am a sucker for more cubic inches. OK, I am a big Viper fan too. You can pick some nicly modded Vipers for under $50,000 fairly easy.

Or how about a 1999 Dodge Viper ACR Twin Turbo (1070 HP) for $54,995.00

Ebay is just full of them. I love the Vipers!

I know they are two completly different cars but I'm just saying, if I were going to spend that kind of coin, I would get somthing different.

Question is how much are these custom vipers cost brand new. It's a bit unfair to say the nissan is a little overprice when this is a brand new car for $80K and then take that number against a used car.

Anyway, I would take that GT-R in white please

Point taken, I would still pick a bone stock New Viper ($80,000) Over this, Just my taste. Not saying this is a bad car, it is a great machine, its just not my first choice.

I agree. Don't go more than 4500 on a new engine, or accelerate full-force, until you get up to around 1000 miles or so. And what of insurance money is he paying for something like that, especially if he is not married? (it is usually highest for young, single men).

i'm trying to *imagine* owning one of those...

certainly an AMAZING car, but i'd guess any owner has to be looking out for getting tickets ALL THE TIME because the car is stupid fast.

i just can't see owning a car that fast anymore...

having said that, it's an amazing car.

I driven several Vipers, hate the drive of the car, Super long front hood, and super small pedals, and cheap cheap American Car Materials. They handle like crap compare to GTR! It's not even in the same league IMHO.
