No front plate tickets anyone?
Most of the time the cop comes up from behind and stops you for speeding. The front plate ticket is usually just an add on after he walks around and inspects your car. This can save you from that additional ticket. If the cop pulls you over for no front plate in the first place this won't help. This can also help going through DUI checks. Usually they will pull you over if they see any probable cause.
Wow, $25 is cheap. Last time I got a no front plate ticket about 7 years ago it was $80. I'm sure it went up by then.
I got a "no plate" ticket in January and it was a $10 dollar fix it. I didn't have front or back plates on. I've seen the front plate mechanism in action before and it's pretty cool. It won't work for really low cars since the front plate would just be gradually scraped away.
the whole reason for not having a front plate is for the "CLEAN" look of it not being there. this plate flipper thing is still attached to your car at all times so it kind of defeats the purpose.
on a different note, i had one of these on my bike so if i got chased by a cop they couldnt get my plate number and show up at my door an hour later

Google and i'm sure you'll find people who have experienced it.
It will be a fix-it ticket, so you'll have to bring your explanation to get signed off.
Gah. I've gotten no front plate tickets three times and not one of them was from a police officer. Infact i've been pulled over several times with no front plate and the officer never said a word. It's always been freaking meter maids in downtown portland.
The worst was getting a no front plate ticket after a court date which was to resolve a no front plate ticket.
