Dude, I cringed at $500 for the whole four tires, let alone just one.

I dont drive mine much. I only have 1900 miles on it, so far. Hopefully, I wont have to deal with that for another 3 years or so.

Driving machine comes with price eh?

I personally think it is a great looking car and cannot wait to see what it can do. Some say it is pointless, but the truth of the matter is, a supped up top of the Range X5 with additional body styling and unnecessary (depending on who you ask) speed is nothing now.

In 2002 They brought out the 4.6is, which was sick fast for an SUV and gave plenty of 911 Carreras a run for their money. Trust me, I know!

Then the 4.8is, which made the 4.6 look like a toy.

No they didn't have an M badge, but they might as well have had one. They were for upper echelon buyers (Porsche Cayenne Turbo) who could afford to have that much power in an SUV.

The X5M will be no different. Just like people want sick fast sedans (M5, E63, S63) because they have to have one car that can do it all, they want their SUV to go just as fast.

I enjoyed the fact that my X5 was AWD, rescued plenty of friends during snow storms (with snow tires of course) and was faster than most every car on the road with 4 passengers.

Just like with my old X5, when the prices on this one drop, I may be in line.

Here is to bringing back one of the greats!!

P.S. The X6 is still pointless.

Nah, M3 is smaller and more fun to drive than the M5, I don't need the extra space for a fun car

Default Interior shot & Lemans Blue paint!

It looks like aluminum & Carbon fiber trim will adorn the interior of this beast. I see some M5 bits in there as well..

Lemans blue..

The pic you posted is the M sport package that is now available for the standard X5 in the U.S. Europe & Canada had this package available for X5's before the U.S.

While the X5 4.8si is a fantastic vehicle, the X5M will be a completely different animal ala 550i/M5, 335i/M3. M is more than just a big motor & horsepower.

I don't know why I missed this post last time ... but anyway, I am no longer interested in even the M6 coupe after the M3 coupe came out, I would rather have the smaller and nicer looking M3

That should save you a bunch of money. Sc430 due for replacement? Come join us on the dark side. It's pretty nice.
