Honda S2000 thread
)
The turds that run H now let the NSX linger for years too long.
Points to those folks who predicted H would under support the S2000 like they did the NSX.
Both of these cars forced the competition to be better and the market has benefitted. Look at the Boxster S now, 300 HP and a DSG tranny.
The owners of the NSX and S2000 cars have had great value driving joy as well.
I got mine in October 99 while the early hoopla was going on for the car. The only thing that failed in 6 years was a sensor that cost $80 to install. Oil changes were about $12. Now the car is living out is goldne years in Virginia going to the beach.
OK, Back to making money to pay for my overpriced LFA.

Close to 66,800 of the 110,000 sold worldwide, were sold in the US. The Europeans bought about a third of what us Americans bought. Sad to see it go.

I had a Countach, F-40, XJ220, and Lotus Esprit on my wall... I got none of them.
2500 units sold per year, on a 10-year old car, is not too bad, but not numbers to justify keeping it for another year, with nothing coming up in sight.
Sad, but needed....
Plus, 2-door convertibles just are not big money makers (bar the Miata, which was Mazda's ONLY money maker for awhile) in terms of volume and movement for car makers. They're a nitch vehicle that some manufacturers continue to make.
