I figured I'd drop my 2 cents on this one.... While it's obvious Hyundai stepped their game up as of late and this Genesis coupe is no different. However I gotta give the nod to the G37. Both obviously share design cues and can almost fool you for twins, Hyundai brorrowing in this case. But Infiniti simply brings with this one. I was and still am a huge fan of the older G35 and will admit it took a while for me to warm up to and appreciate the currrent generation. But once I saw 2 of them parked up side by side last month, I have fallen in love. In person you will truly appreciate this car a whole lot more than in stock photos. Either way a prospective buyer can't go wrong with either pick!

I just saw the HKS Genesis in Super Street magazine this month. It looks bad ***. The 2.0 l turbo in the car is a motor from mitsubishi. I didnt realize its the evo motor detuned. Thats an awesome motor to start with. Its not as solid in reputation as the 4G63, but Damn what a start. Its a virgin motor to the tuning community. There are some tuners pulling some solid gains out of the 4B11, but you wont see 700 hp 4B11's for a while. The 4G63 tuners can make that kind of power for a little less than 5000 dollars.

Not sure I understand your logic here? People bash it b/c it looks identical which gives it that cheap imitation feel. Chinese car companies are bashed all the time for the same reason, so what is it exactly that makes Hyundai so special that they should be exempt?

There is similar design and ter is straight up copying. The Chinese are pros at complete copies. This isnt a copy as much as sharing a similar design theme and philosophy. Come on like the Genesis sedan doesnt look like a total mixture of the 5 series and GS

they both look ugly.
the hyundai design just boggles my mind. the lines are just all over the place, coming and going nowhere.
and the G37's hips are odd looking.

Frankly I think the Genesis is quite good looking. I didn't like the front at first, but it grew on me. In my opinion the only thing wrong with the genesis is its weight. Apparently the badge is a problem for a lot of folks too.

Just wait till you see one in real life. I'm 100% certain you will change your mind. The kink on the rear panel bothered me as well... that is until I saw one in real life going down I20 East bound towards Dallas. This car will make the G37 look cheap. And I'm not kidding. The Aqua Marine Blue color I saw was absolutely stunning. The lines on the side of the car makes it look SO much better than the G37. By comparison, the G37 look down right boring if you can believe that. Trust me on this one. The pictures dont do it justice.
