On Friday morning, General Motors confirmed that it will stop virtually all North American production in January. That would cut 250,000 vehicles from its first-quarter production schedule. In all, 21 factories across North America will be affected.

You had to wonder when management or the board was going to say that no matter what goes in DC or anywhere else, we have to take some steps pronto or their won't be any carcass to pick over. I believe they are going from an estimated 885,000 vehicles produced in the first quarter down to 600,000. Still a whole bunch of cars out there with the market the way it is.
