M5 if you a can deal with driving a stick. E55 is wonderful.

the cooper s was a 6spd with real short gears, i lived with it through chicago traffic only reason i sold it was the ride is unforgivable with the run flats

E39 M5 also. One of the best cars ever to come out of the automotive world. In fact, God owns 2 of them.

E55 is a VERY close second only because of the brute power it packs behind.

The VW is more likely to be vanalized by the 20 somethings that crave pocket rockets. The Mercedes E55 has more anti-theft technology than the IS you had before & the VW.. Out of the choices, I would select the E55AMG without question.. Shall we refer to you as sober_dave once you have the beast?

Ah that's right, I thought you were talking about the first-gen VW R32 which only came in a two door hatchback trim.
