1989 Jet Black Chevy Cavalier coupe (aka The Black Thing, totally debadged with painted black rims I believe spray paint, duck tape holding up roof liner, and greatful dead sticker inside gas door ) 500 dollars

1998 Alpine Silver GS400 every available option. Priceless

 

it was a big jump for me as well. 85 Cressida to 93 Camry XLE V6 to a 98 LS400. I don't think I will get a car that costs more than the LS from now on.

a 96 redish/purple ford ranger, standard cab, 4cyl, automatic, no power, then the tranny blew out. then i got a 95 sc300

i rememeber some kid in high school had one and used to tell people he owned a 'vette

we all got a laugh when we finally saw it

My first car was an ES. My second and current is a GS. It's all I know. It's all I want to know...it's all i WILL know.

 

89 acura legend coupe(killed my pockets w/ 2 rebuilt transmissions). to my 95 lexus sc400(filled my life with joy for the past 5 years!)

 

I've been going up and down:

1965 Saab 96 (used in 1968) --> 1971 V W Superbeetle --> 1972 Mercedes 220Diesel (used in 1975) -->

--> 1995 Saturn SL2 --> 2002 Lexus RX300

 

80 Datsun 200SX --> 91 Benz 300E --> 99 GS400

The funny thing is, is that the Datsun was more reliable then the Benz. Once something broke, it seemed like everything broke. Even though the car looked nice, after things kept going wrong, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Plus even being a V6 it got worse gas mileage then the GS. I was so glad to get rid of that car.
