101 Octane Gas?

Default 101 Octane Gas?

I was driving by a gas station near my house and they had a 101 grade gas and i was wondering what would happen if i used it. Would my car be handle it? and if I could, would I be able to tell a diffrence. if anybody has any info i would love to know a little more about it. thx

Yes your car could handle it as long as its unleaded, imo you would not feel a difference, our cars do not have the capicity to adjust the timing to get a gain from the higher octane.

you are mostlikely wasting your dough man, but if you are just super rich and don't care or have a car that can utilize the 101 octane i.e. turbo/supercharger/high compression. then sure it will have its advantages

in CA, premium is 91 not 93. depending on the weather, the grade of gas (from different gas stations, etc...), using a mix of 91 and small amount of 100 can actually help the performance a little bit. but don't expect your car to fly right the way, it won't be very dramatic difference
