Default ipod integration

"In 2008, 39 percent of new cars offered iPod support, but that number will jump to 58 percent next year."

in 2009, lexus will still not be in that 58%

that's aftermarket.
it doesn't count. and it's still half broken in features

here they are referring to new straight from factory.

Anyone have the link to the article. I would like to know how they classify the difference between support and integration. Integration for me is when I plug in my ipod and control the music through the deck, nothing else added. Support is what my Tahoe has, it's an exterior auxiliary input into the deck but I still have to control the music with the ipod, this sucks compared to true integration and should be distinguished.

I don't know if this is the exact article, but it's close:

"iPod Support Expected in 58% of 2009 Cars" from TMC net

http://www.tmcnet.com/voip/ip-commun...-2009-cars.htm

Lexus does already have an "accessory" where you can control the iPod through the steering wheel and deck controls.

Now if only they could make the screen (on nav only of course) look like the actual iPod menu like Scion does....
