Official WHATS IT WORTH? thread
okay, now I'm getting a clean trade in of about 31,500.
i know the car is in excellent shape. For some reason the designo wasnt showing up on my system, but i can tell you that adds another grand. So you're looking at book 32,500.
that being said, these cars are becoming more and more rare now that the new body style is dropping their value just a little. but, yours being a designo and post-facelift, as well as with your mods so far, you could expect a bit more, especially with the low mileage.
dealer would probably offer you like 25-28k. I wouldn't take less than 29k on a trade in.
selling it outright, at least 35k, on up to 40. Reason i say this is that in the northeast, these designo, post facelift cars are slim-none, nevermind with 34k miles. I mean, the car went for over 90k new only 4 years ago, in that time it's only seen ~8500mi per year.
cheers

as for the benz, i'm getting an average trade in of 29,600. I'd say this is a fair number. The dealer will probably offer you ~22k, but i wouldn't let it go for less than 26k.
you probably wouldn't have much luck selling the benz on your own, there's not a lot of people with the money to buy it outright and loans are in the **** right now.
as for your car, i'm getting a clean trade in (which seems appropriate by what you're saying) of 33,900. Definitely a fair number considering the market, but the dealer would probably offer you about 30k, seeing as the retail on this car would be somewhere near 39. I wouldn't let it go for any less than 35k. Same situation on selling it outright, it would be really tough.

ok one more, 2001 blue vapor on gray lexus lx470, fully loaded every possible option, all service records, 97k on it, upgraded navigation ( if it matters) perfect interior exterior, scratches on all four corners, dent on hood, small key mark on passenger door, and rust on rear tailgate, although cannot see unless tailgate lifted, o and cracked tail light, but very hard to see and now water gets in, im just very picky. toyota dealership offered us 8 grand and i know it's and suv but come on

what you have to keep in mind, again, is the market and its elasticity. its not about what the truck's worth, its about the demand for it. they gave you a value of 8k because that's what they could get it for at the auction. That being said, I would try to get 10 out of them, worse comes to worst settle on 9 and write the deal.
with high mileage on vehicles, the dealer will wholesale it out, which means their profit margin is limited. This example would be the dealer giving you 8k for it, wholesaling it for 10k, then that dealership turns around and sells it for 12,500.
umm... it doesnt have any of the features
its only got
and i am in Florida- Southeast -32765
thanks
its only got
thanks
nav? heated seats? sport package? these will help me be a bit more accurate.
ok, its still a bit too soon for the 08's to have good information about them, but i can infer it based on an 07.
if it does have all those options, i'm getting a clean trade in of 32,075 (1k more than an 07).
that's a pretty decent number, considering depreciation these days.
a dealer would again offer you a ridiculous number, probably in the neighborhood of 25k. I wouldn't trade it for any less than 29k.
selling it outright, i wouldn't take less than 33k. The car gets excellent mileage, obviously holds its value, and lexus is one of the brands to buy right now for their excellent reliability.
cheers

Just curious as to what my old Bimmer I sold a few months ago would have gone for.
Hawaii, 96826
2002 BMW 330i
24K miles
Automatic Transmission
Premium Package
Sports Package
Navigation Package
HID headlights
It had the 17" M Sport rims, heated seats, sports seats, power everything, back up sensors, and whatever else BMW includes in those packages listed above. No dings, paint was about a 8 out of 10, interior had real leather in about a 9 out of 10. No rips or tears on the leather, no stains. All electrical and mechanical components were in working order.

HOkay, well sir your 330i in today's market is showing a clean trade in of 19750. i would assume a few months ago it may have been no more than a few hundred higher.
now, the dealer would probably offer you about 15k. i wouldn't let it go for less than 19 even.
selling it outright, being that it is in such good condition and has seen only 4k miles per year, i wouldn't let it go for a penny less than ~21k.
cheers

given the current market, a dealer would offer you probably 6 grand. i wouldn't trade it for less than 8, and take that with a grain of salt because it's not a bad number.
selling it outright, you can find a buyer for it, but itd take time. I wouldn't let it go for less than 9k.
cheers

75k for that car is an absolute STEAL my friend. not surprising since it's a family transaction; You would probably not even see that much on trading it in. In ROUGH condition, it's worth 73k.
Just so you can get an idea, that same vehicle would retail at a dealership anywhere from 88-93k.
Hop on it, i sure as hell won't have the funds in this lifetime so i'd be happy to see it go to the right hands

I can't aford it right now either. I just bought my GS and need to pay it down (along with my house, new BBQ grill, new TV, new recording equipment, new tools (that I will use to build my new deck), new rims for the Lex, new Yamaha Keyboard, and some medical bills that were unexpected........in other words, I'm not buying the car. wish I could though.
I almost bought a 2005 4S for $49,000 before I got my GS.....I think I made the smart decision though.
