I am in the market for an LS and looking on the web for info and videos I found this show. They do a good job and it is very entertaining to watch. Lexus should have given US buyers the additional fogs in the bumper as well.
I liked what he did with it but the HID looks kind of cheap and the bluetooth thing was not really needed. Cutting the harness is a sin.
Yeah, I'd seen this program a while back. The HID kit looked fine to me -- a nice easy plug-and-play one with re-based bulbs. An advantage of the U.K. spec LS400 is that the inner light units next to the main headlights are high beams and there is a beam adjustment dial on the dash for the low beams.
Cutting a radio wiring harness to install a Bluetooth phone kit is much more common in the U.K. where it is illegal to hold a handset to your ear while driving. There are competent phone kit installers all around the U.K. and some will come right to your home to do an installation.
The really stupid part of this program is that they didn't allow for the mechanic's labor time. If they had, the whole deal would have been a financial disaster.
