Yep... not to mention even if they did use a driver that wasn't quite cream of the crop and thus was not quite comfortable with difficult to drive cars at the limits... what does that really mean to us? Are you a better driver than that guy? If not then you'll probably experience an even larger differential between an easy to drive predictable car and a hard to drive squirmy car.

What makes C&D "garbage" & "toilet paper" ?? Is it because a Lexus model did not come in 1st place?? Come on now.. C&D has been around before most of you were born & is not a wanna be auto enthusiast publication. The editors who actually test drive and comment like Csaba Csere, Patrick Bedard (as Marshall mentioned), Tony Swan and others have a great deal of proffessional driving experience under their belts. I am not a magazine bon bon eating ***** yet I can respect their opinions on various automobiles..

It has nothing to do with Lexus, A LOT of people take their opinions with a grain of salt. I stopped paying full price years ago. If its not free or a $2 subscription, I don't get it.
If I don't subscribe, I don't read it at the bookstore. It has gotten worse and worse over the years. In the 1990s, it was pretty good.
They are around b/c of SIZE not QUALITY!
RIP Sports Car International, A REAL CAR MAGAZINE!!!
If anthing, I'm just AMAZED a Lexus is actually in this kind of comparo, UNHEARD of for a Lexus!

Guys these are track times... no subjective editorial going on here for you to complain about as toilet paper. Unless C&D literally sabotaged the times then they're legitimate no matter what you think of the rest of the magazine.
Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Magazine doesn't say what you want it to say so discredit the magazine.
His point was being a C&D staffer is far from indicative of a lack of qualifications on the track.

i realize its hard to test 22 cars in one day, but I really would have liked to see one driver for all these times. sure, maybe all 3 are more qualified than your run of the mill track guy, but among the three must be different levels of experience. this will compound the difference between cars and their times. i wouldnt be surprised to know that the guy who drove the bottom cars also drove the exige S. to him the exige S is blazing fast, but the dudes driving LL3 cars could probably have done better.

Revised List
I added the HP # to go with each car. It shows that typically, the higher the hp the quicker it goes. However, there is always exceptions. We have low hp cars that are fast and high hp cars that are slow. Enjoy!
